Truss Clips|Girder Hangers
Truss Clip attaches girders, trusses and rafters to wall plates to provide wind restraint. They are used as allpurpose ties wherever one member crosses another.
Girder Truss Shoe is a joist hanger for supporting mono trusses and girder trusses from timber members. Long leg girder truss shoes are suitable for depths ranging from 100mm to 225mm and a 85mm bearing. They are especially designed for supporting trussed rafters. The hanger includes a base tag to avoid unnecessary rotation.
Multi Truss Girder Hanger is a heavy duty girder to girder hanger, available in four different sizes.
Truss Clips
The Truss Clips secure truss rafters to wall plates. The truss clip eliminates the potential damage skew nailing can cause to connector plates, rafters or wall plates by offering a positive fixing on two planes with an assured safe working load. Truss clips are made from galvanised steel EN 10346 DX51D Z275. .
Truss clips are designed to hold trusses in position along the plate. The trusses do not need birdsmouth joints, and the truss clips would prevent the roof from spreading.
Fixing Instructions
All holes should be nailed using 12 nos 30 x 3.75 square twist nails or equivalent.
Girder Truss Shoes
Girder truss shoes are used to fix single trusses to girders or to fix other truss to truss connections. Girder truss shoes are used to fix single trusses to girders or to fix other truss to truss connections. The bearing length is 85 mm. The truss shoe has side flanges of a size that suits the depth of the girder chord to which it is fixed. The girder truss shoe includes a base tag which can significantly contribute to faster and more accurate installation and to avoid unnecessary rotation. This base tag can easily be bent where necessary. The girder shoe offers substantial safe working load . They should always have a manufacturer's mark.
- Especially designed for supporting trussed rafters.
- Bearing 85mm.
- Tag on the base of the hanger helps avoid rotation and aids fast, accurate location. It can easily be bent if not required.

Girder Hangers
The Girder Hangers are designed to support a secondary girder off the main girder to ensure that the loads are transferred efficiently. The shoe is usually fixed to the main girder by means of bolts with washers under the bolt heads and nuts. The bearing length for these shoes is approx. 120 mm. Offers safe working load of 29kN.
- Especially designed for supporting secondary trusses and rafters.
- 3mm thick.
- Safe Working Load 27kN,
- Holed for M20 bolts.
- Galvanised after manufacturing,
- Tested by BRE.
Fixing Instructions
Use 3 no. M20 x 180 Bolts to fix girder shoes to the main girder. The secondary girder can be either bolted or nailed.
